The tradition of street painting is traced back to 16th century Italy, where artists used chalk to transform the pavement. After centuries, crowds today still gather to watch as fine works of art emerge. These street paintings only last until the next rain, but the spirit of the art form captivates new audiences and inspires lasting memories.
I am a qualified chalk artist working in a variety of chalk, tempura, and pastel mediums in both small-scale and large-scale projects for street art public events. Themes vary from realism to illustrative and can be customized based on specialty requests and commissioned work.
Featured Past Street Art Events:
Fort Myers Art Fest, DeLand Water Fest, Winter Garden Chalkin’ It Up Sidewalk Art Contest(1st Place "Family" Winner), Gateway Community Chalk Art Festival, Gasparilla Festival of the Arts, Suncoast Arts Fest("Sponsor's Choice" Winner), TBBCA Chalk Walk("Peoples Choice" Winner), Clearwater Beach Chalk Art Festival, Zephyrhills Chalk Art Festival, Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), Zephyrhills Founders Day events, and more.

As a former grant recipient from the Arts Council of Hillsborough County, I have annually contributed to the FIVE by FIVE fundraising and exhibition event hosted by the Tampa Museum of Art. All proceeds fund artist workshops and grants from the Arts Council of Hillsborough County.
Of depiction are fan representations of a still from a Ronda Rousey former UFC match against Miesha Tate, movie stills from Alien(1979) and Aliens(1986), and a theoretical re-imagining of Renee Magritte's Treachery of Images(1928) work. "Ceci est une pipe / This is a Pipe" offers a new take on Semiotic understanding, via a functional one-hitter pipe mounted to exist as both a Referent and Signifier.
